Setting Up POP3 Email in Outlook 2003

How to setup your POP3 email in Outlook 2003:

  1. Select Tools/Email Accounts from the menu
  2. Click the Add New Email Account radio button and click Next
  3. Select the POP3 button and click Next
  4. Enter your name and email address
  5. Both Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server should be set to
    mail.yourdomain.com (substituting yourdomain with your actual domain name)
  6. The username is your full email address (ex. john@domain.com)
  7. Enter the password you chose when the account was setup in
    your CPanel
  8. Click the More Settings button, then the Outgoing Server tab
  9. Check the box next to ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’

* Note: Different versions of Outlook have slightly different menu selections.
