Setting Up IMAP Email Accounts in Outlook Express

To setup Outlook Express to connect to your email account using IMAP:

1. Open Outlook Express and click on “Tools” and “Accounts”.



2. Then click on “Add” and “Mail”.



3. Then enter your name and click Next.



4. Enter your email address and click Next.



5. Click on the down-arrow next to My mail server is a and select ‘IMAP’. Then enter your mail servers and click Next.



Your mail servers info is contained in your welcome email. They should both read mail.yourdomain.com.

6. Then enter your account name (username) and password. Remember, your
   username is your full email address, and the password was created when
   this email account was setup in CPanel.



7. Then click and Next and Finish.
8. Go back into your email account Properties and make sure that you tick
   the box that says “My server requires authentication” as follows:





9. Click OK, and you’re finished!
